Company History

Arlington Equipment long time engineers, designers and builders of equipment for industrial accounts including Johnson & Johnson, United Technologies, Wyeth, Weyerhauser, Ford, Boeing, etc is approached by the State of New York. A state operated institution required a machine to mechanize handling and installation of heavy security glass from inside a building under renovation. The first Mobile Ergonomic Handler (MEH) was born and enabled project completion efficiently with two people instead of six, safely with zero worker compensation claims or broken glass and completion months ahead of schedule.

Management of Arlington Equipment commissions project to develop a complete line of MEH equipment specifically for the glass industry. A two year program of research into the requirements of glass installing contractors and fabricators results in volumes of data and information providing marching orders for product engineers.

MEH roll out to industry in trade publications. Production of the GFB and AB series begins.

-2008 MEH machines are accepted by the glass industry requiring two separate production lines. R&D new features including micromotion controls and lateral side shift are introduced. The Model AB1200RD combining the stability of the GFB series with the compact versatility of the AB series is introduced.

-2011 MEH machines continue to evolve with each customers' on-the-job performance. Our customers are reporting that they are bidding and working the smaller jobs during the economic downturn. Climate change conditions allow Mobile Ergonomic Handling manipulators to secure the funding to rebuild weather damaged areas. Energy Conservation programs are stimulating the use of MEH manipulators on PV solar panel installation projects.  Began exporting custom manipulators to Europe, Australia and the Middle East.
